New Member Information - 2007/2008 Season
Thank you
for the interest you have shown in becoming a member of the UNIONVILLE CURLING
CLUB. Our calendar of events
provides for both social and competitive curling for Men, Ladies, Business
Women, Junior, and Mixed. In
addition to regularly scheduled curling, there are several "in club"
bonspiels for each section and social events such as our New Year's Eve
Dinner\Dance.
For new
curlers, the Club conducts pre-season and mid-season clinics to teach the
fundamentals, techniques, rules and etiquette of curling.
These excellent clinics include both on and off ice instruction by
Certified Curl Canada Instructors.
If you have
never curled, I am certain that you will find curling and its related activities
a very satisfying winter pastime. If you have curled at other clubs, you will
find UNIONVILLE to be a well organized, member oriented and financially stable
club.
On
September 11, 12 and 13th between 6:30 and 10:30 PM, we will be hosting an Open House for those interested
in joining our club. Members will
be on hand to answer your questions and assist in filling out the necessary
forms to ensure your entry in those activities in which you wish to participate.
In addition
to the fee structure enclosed, new members are required to pay an initiation
fee. The initiation fee for all
adult members is $225. This fee is
payable over your first three curling seasons with the first payment in February
of the first year. You may also
elect to submit a one time payment of $200
at the time of registration. Payment
of fees must be made at the time of enrolment, however, cheques may be post
dated to September 30. This will
ensure your inclusion in all schedules.
