Why Advertise?
The purpose of our web
page advertising promotion is to off-set the cost associated with the web page
operation and hosting fees. The intent is to create a non-profit vehicle
that will allow the website to sustain itself. We would also like to
present an opportunity where members can promote themselves at a nominal fee. A
limited number of space is being reserved for different types of advertising: Web
Page Banner Ads, Calendar Banner Ads, Sponsor Boxes, Square Box
and Skyscraper Ads. Web
Advertising is a separate initiative and is not related to any way to the
advertising requirements for the curling club roster or bonspiels. We encourage
members to continue to promote their companies through the current roster ads
and through their sponsorship of club events.
Who can Advertise?
Only members of the Unionville Curling Club are allowed to participate
in this advertising promotion.
Who Visits the Unionville Curling Site.
The Unionville Curling
site has become a very popular site for Current Members to find information on
upcoming events, schedules, standings and easy access to spare lists all online
from either home or office.
1)
New Curlers use our site
to check us out before making a commitment to join. We encourage new
members to let us know were they get information regarding our Club and our
Website is becoming more frequently used as a source of information.
2) Past curling members use
this site to keep up on the happenings by checking out our online
newsletters. A number of ex-Unionville Curlers even those as far away as Australia
check in regularly to see how old friends and neighbours are doing.
3) The Curling and Internet Community in general surfs through our pages to see
what's new.
All
advertisement opportunities are intended for a 12 month period coinciding with
the curling season commencing in September through to Aug. Rates for advertising
are currently set at (but not limited to) a yearly rate.
1) Web Page Banner Ads - Banner ads are
available in two styles, Standard and Animated. Both banners are 468x60
pixels in size and can contain graphic and text information. Animated
Banners contain moving graphics and text. Note: an additional one time
design and development fee is charged for creation of an animated banner.
Space
is available on each of our section web pages (8) on a first come first serve
basis. (Men's,
Ladies, Business Women, Mixed, Crazy Birds, Afternoon Men's, Juniors and Little
Rocks)

Calendar Banner Ads - Calendar banners ads
(13) are the same as the regular banner ads and appear on each of the Calendar
Months as well as on the main Calendar Event page.
3)
Sponsor Boxes - These special boxes are
150x200 pixels in size contains graphics and/or text. These are
consolidated on a central Web Sponsor page. This page allows us to display as
many member promotions as required. Currently the space is
unlimited.
4)
Web Page Square Box - is a 100x100 pixel box
which contains a graphic and/or text. There is a limit of two square box
ads per web page. This includes the main home page and each of the section
pages.
5) Web Page Skyscraper - is a 100x300 pixel box
which can contain graphics and/or text. There is a limit of one skyscraper
ads per web page. This includes the main home page and each of the section
pages.
Advertising
Placement (Type of advertisement and limits)
1) Unionville Curling Club Home Page is currently limited to Square Box (2) and Skyscraper Ads (1).
2) Section Pages (8) allow for Web Page Banner Ad (1), Square Box (2) and Skyscraper Ads (1).
3) Calendar Event Pages (13) allow for Calendar Banner Ad (1)
4) Web Sponsor Page allows only Sponsor Box (unlimited).
Advertising Rates (For Members Only)
All dollar values are based on a yearly rate (Sept-Aug).
Curling season begins September and ends in April)
1) Square Box $10.00 / Year
2) Skyscraper - $25.00 / Year
3) Web Page Banner Ad - $100.00 / Year
4) Calendar Banner Ad - $100.00 / Year
5) Sponsor Box - $50.00 / Year
Note:
A one-time design fee of $15 will be applied to each order.
1) Allocation of space is determined on a first come first serve basis.
2) Payment (including design fee) to be received before ad appears on the website.
3) Member supplied material will be used where possible and altered as required by the designer.
4) Graphics and characters are limited by what can fit in the appropriate banner or box.
5) Animated graphic design and development is limited by the quality and size.
6) The advertising member must approve quality of advertisement prior to release to website.
7) Links to Company (URL) websites (if desired) at no extra charge. If no company link available, then one single linked page can be created identifying additional information such as name, address and telephone number.
